Position Overview:

Seneca Foods is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Ripon, WI. This position plays a key role in maintaining and repairing harvesting equipment, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted product flow to our processing plants. The role includes both in-season support during harvest and off-season equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of agricultural and diesel-powered equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance and overhauls during the off-season to prepare for harvest.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and make necessary repairs or upgrades.

• Monitor equipment during harvest to ensure steady product flow and relieve Harvester Operators when needed.

• Supervise seasonal employees during harvest operations.

• Maintain accurate records and control maintenance costs in alignment with budget.

• Perform maintenance tasks in other areas of the facility as required.

• Ensure all work complies with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of mechanical repair experience (agricultural equipment preferred).

• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus but not required.

• Must have basic hand and power tools; welding/fabrication skills are a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Must be dependable and reliable, with flexibility to work extended hours during harvest season.
